Step 1: Install and Activate The Zendesk plugin
First of All, log in to your WordPress Dashboard.
Go to the Right Sidebar, Click on Plugins>Add New
Now on the next screen, type Zendesk Chat into the search bar. Click on the Install Now button as shown below:
Now Click on Activate button.
Step 2: Creating Zendesk Account
After successfully activating the plugin, now come to your WordPress Dashboard, click on Zendesk Chat which is on the right sidebar, and then a tab will appear.
Method 1: If you already have an account on Zendesk then you just need to link up your account with Zendesk by adding:
- Username (E-mail)
- Subdomain (For Zendesk Chat accounts with a subdomain)
Method 2: If you don’t have an account on Zendesk, Then Click on Sign Up Now to create a new account to Register on Zendesk Chat.
Then, the registration page will appear after clicking on Sign Up Now. You have to fill out the registration form according to your business and needs.
After registration, you will receive a verification link in your email (it might be in your spam folder). So, You’ll need to verify your email to access to Zendesk dashboard.
Step 3: Embed The Widget
Now guys just one last step, after verification of the Zendesk Account, go to your WordPress dashboard and then click on Zendesk Chat Which is on the right sidebar and a tab will appear now click on the Launch Dashboard button. It will take you to Zendesk Chat Dashboard.
On the dashboard, you’ll see the Widget tab and click on the Manage widget. A page will appear with all the settings and code for the Chat, where you can set up the chat Color, Message, Chat fields, forms, and etc.
Here, you can copy the code for the website. Then, you will be able to change settings for the Chat. You can update the Chat Color, Welcome Message, Chat fields, forms and etc according to your business needs.
It will then appear on your website like the picture below. Now, your customers, audience, and readers can send you messages from this chat.
